Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–9 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach EGE Mediterranean at (412) 904-1433; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is egemediterranean.org, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 284 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Pittsburgh and suggests consistent service.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is the definition of β€œlittle neighborhood spot.” When I lived in the city I would order takeout from EGE every weekend. Food is always consistent, fresh, and well portioned. I only wish I had found this restaurant sooner! If you’re a new Pitt or CMU student, do yourself a favor and check out EGE. My favorite things to order are the hummus bowl or baba ghanoush bowl, but you can make your own. This food is 10 times better and fresher than what you get from Chipotle or Cava for the same price or more.

Crispy edges, perfectly spiced, and straight out of the ovenβ€”this lahmajoun is everything. The flatbread is super fresh, light yet slightly crunchy and topped with a rich, savory blend that tastes incredibly authentic. Every bite hits with that perfect balance of flavor and freshness. Easily one of the best I’ve hadβ€”simple, traditional, and done right!!✨✌️

I’m usually skeptical of restaurants with menus full of seemingly unrelated items, and this place definitely fits that description. Their menu has many Mediterranean staples you can think of; grape leaves, baklava, shawarma, falafel, kebabs, but then they also got pizzas and even tiramisu. Someone recommended the Mediterranean pizza to me, so I placed an online order, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The pizza was excellent and unique, you wouldn’t find a pizza like it in any other pizza place. I’ll definitely be back for the same pizza and to try their pide, shawarma and falafel. Customer service was great and very welcoming at pickup. Solid 5 stars.

Love the pizza! And to be honest, I’m obsessed with this chicken and rice bowl. If I could eat it every day I would. It’s so good I have dreams about it. The bread is like a thick chewy delicious pita. It reminds me of my grandma’s Syrian bread. I will definitely eat here again. And again and again.
